You can sign up for every puppy class and still not get the same type of desensitization work done that thirty minutes with a five year old provides! Gus’ size means that he’s allowed to go places where (unfortunately) the big girls are not welcome. So, last weekend he got to attend my nephew’s graduation party and spend the afternoon being grabbed, chased and carried around by kids. It’s wonderful to see that he has such a great temperament and handled all of this like a champ. One kid even picked him up and started swinging with him on the swing set!
